Meet Liz

A beautifully flawed human with a big heart, a dyslexic brain and a deep belief that people deserve to feel seen, heard and valued.

For the ones who’ve always felt a little different - this space is for you.

The heart of it all …

I’ve spent most of my life feeling a little different - the one who felt things deeply, saw what others missed, and cared perhaps too much. That sense of being the odd one out can feel lonely, even when you’re surrounded by people.

I know what it’s like to be in pain and not feel supported - to be doing your best while carrying things no one else can see. That experience lives in me and shapes everything I do. I wholeheartedly believe…

People aren’t broken - they’re often just trying to survive in a broken system.

Over my career, I’ve sat with young people and adults trying to survive in systems that didn’t have room for them. I’ve watched them wait months, sometimes years, just to be seen.

That’s where Wired Therapy began - a space that’s inclusive, empowering and human, where people don’t have to earn care or hide their difference to be supported.

How Wired Therapy came to life …

Wired Therapy began as a mental health youth work project, supporting young people who were falling through the cracks.

After over a decade working across schools and charities specialising in self-harm, sex and relationships, and emotional wellbeing, I knew the system needed more than good intentions - it needed heart, structure and sustainability.

I didn’t want to create another charity that could lose funding overnight, or a private practice that excluded those without financial means.

A Community Interest Company became the answer - a way to hold both care and sustainability.

Now, someone sitting on a CAMHS or CMHT waitlist can access therapy the same week - through my clear referral system, sliding scale fees, and associate business model. Alongside this, my Pay What You Can Afford therapy programme offers accessible support exclusively for 11-25 year olds. That’s what Wired Therapy stands for - care that meets you where you are.

My background and expertise …

Before founding Wired Therapy, I worked as a professionally qualified Youth Worker, where I learned that real change doesn’t come from systems - it comes from relationships.

Those years taught me how to listen without judgment, hold space for uncertainty, and meet people where they are - whether they’re 15 or 50. That same relational foundation now runs through every part of my therapeutic practice.

I’m a qualified Integrative Therapist with a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, working in line with the BACP Ethical Framework.

Now, as a Founder and Lead Therapist, I bring that experience - and my own lived understanding - into every session, every decision and every project.

Before training as a therapist, I spent my time speaking and teaching about adolescent mental health - as a published author, guest lecturer and trainer.

It taught me how powerful it can be when people feel understood rather than judged, a lesson I carry into therapy every day.

The authentic me …

Most days begin with an oat latte and a beach stroll, reflecting on how I can best serve people that day. Sometimes that means sitting alongside clients; other times it’s writing bids or working behind the scenes - quietly improving systems so accessing therapy feels that little bit easier.

I live with chronic migraines, anxiety and a history of self-harm and depression, so I know how much courage it takes to reach out for help. Those experiences don’t define me, but they’ve shaped how I show up - calm, honest, and deeply human.

Clients often tell me they feel genuinely cared for - that I really see them, not just their problems or diagnosis. Because that’s what Wired Therapy is built on: authentic, compassionate connection.

If this sounds like the kind of therapist, collaborator or human you’d like to work alongside, I’d love to connect.

As I share with my clients:

You’re not alone; I’m with you and holding a special place in my heart for you. Always.
